Managing Partner, Director of Film Finance

Chrissie Merrill is a highly regarded leader in the film and entertainment finance sector, known for her expertise in film tax credits and production incentives. With over 15 years of industry experience, she is the Founder and Managing Partner of State Tax Incentives, the largest broker of Georgia film credits. Since launching the company in 2020, Chrissie has guided its rapid growth, solidifying its reputation as a trusted partner for studios and production companies.

Before founding State Tax Incentives, Chrissie served as the Director of Film Finance at Monarch Private Capital, where she led film tax credit monetization and expanded the business from $500,000 to over $100 million in sales within six years. Throughout her career, Chrissie has placed more than $1.5 billion in film tax credits across the U.S., contributing to the production of over 275 films and supporting thousands of jobs. 

Chrissie is a frequent speaker on film finance and serves as a consultant on tax credits to leading studio executives. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Real Estate from the University of West Georgia. Her commitment to the industry and community is reflected in her board roles with the Georgia Screen Entertainment Coalition, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Atlanta Film Society, and Georgia Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She also supports various local initiatives, including the Georgia Food Bank Association and Giving Grace.

Jeff Price, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Jeffrey A. Price is the Chief Financial Officer of State Tax Incentives (STI), bringing over 18 years of expertise in tax accounting, film industry finance, and state tax credit management. As a Certified Public Accountant, Jeff leads the company's financial strategies while specializing in film tax credit optimization and compliance. His extensive background includes serving as partner at Price & Petersen LLC where he provides production accounting experience as well as fractional CFO services to film production companies.

Prior to his role at STI, Jeff's career path included positions at prestigious firms such as Swirl Films LLC, Frazier & Deeter LLC, Deloitte Tax LLP, and Anderson Tax. His experience spans various aspects of financial management, from reviewing complex tax returns and leading production accounting for numerous television series and films to developing innovative tax planning strategies. Jeff's unique combination of traditional accounting expertise and specialized knowledge in entertainment industry finance makes him an invaluable asset to STI's clients and team.

Jeff holds a Master of Accountancy with a tax emphasis and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Management. Jeff's commitment to excellence and deep understanding of both accounting principles and the entertainment industry continues to drive STI's success in navigating the complex landscape of state tax incentives.

Dana Bellevue

Director of Operations

Dana Bellevue is directly involved in the origination and closing of film tax credit transactions. Dana communicates with the production companies and facilitates the transfer of tax credits from the state, while also providing State Tax Incentives’ clients with the highest-quality customer service.

With over 8 years of experience in the film tax credit business, Dana was the former Film Finance Analyst at Monarch Private Capital, where she oversaw the tax credit documentation and supported Chrissie Merrill.

Dana has a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from Kennesaw State University. She is passionate about planning events and owns “Let Them Drink” mobile bar. She is also a co-planner for the “Choose GA” event each year at the Sundance Film Festival. Born and raised in Georgia, Dana resides in Cumming, Georgia, with her two kids, Alicia and Christopher.

Danielle Wolf

Director of Client Relations

Danielle Wolf is the Client Relations Manager for State Tax Incentives (STI). Her responsibilities include managing corporate office operations and contract representatives. She supports the tax credit sales team and investors by facilitating the process of transferring the tax credits to the clients.

Danielle is experienced in business development and operations within the financial industry, including  investment firms, financial institutions, CPAs and education. She was the Director of the Master of Accounting program at Kennesaw State University. Her university experience teaching Business and Professional Communications provides world class support to our STI clients and staff.

Danielle has a BA degree in Communications from The University of Tennessee and a MA degree in Communications from The University of Alabama. She is active in her church, community, and professional organizations. Danielle is an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoys cooking, kickball and The Beltline.
